Approximately 75 km north north-west of Jasper
CPR surveyor Walter Moberly named this pass after following the eagles
through the mountains to the opening. The name became increasing
well-established locally and was officially approved January 15,
1979.
The elevation of the narrow mountain pass measures 2,103 m in altitude.

Railway who was in charge of construction at the time of this lake's

this lake its name after Edith McColl, the wife of H.A. McColl.
