Bruce Waugh

Bruce W. Waugh, DLS, Surveyor General of Dominion Lands, federal government, has now retired from official duties upon completion of 45 years of service as a field survey and executive.

During his period of office, Mr. Waugh was inspired with the real need for adequate aeronautical charts for Canada, and the present complete coverage of Canada with an excellent series of 8 mile to 1 inch maps is an outstanding achievement and a monument to his untiring efforts and interest in the mapping of Canada. He is a member and past president of the Canadian Institute of Surveying and Photogrammetry.
