Albert C. Talbot
Albert C. Talbot was born in
Montmagny, Quebec in 1856 and was educated at the Montmagny College.
He received his commission as a Dominion Land Surveyor in 1877 and for a
number of years was engaged in surveys in the North-West Territory. He
was at the head of a party engaged on the survey of the international
boundary between British Columbia and Alaska. In 1902, he became
Examiner of Surveys for Alberta, which position he held until
1925.
He was a charter member of the Alberta Land Surveyors’ Association and
president of the ALSA in
1915.
He died on June 12,
1929
in Calgary after a three week illness.
