Mark Sutter
As published in ALS News upon receiving his commission in 2004 and updated in 2012. Mark Albert Louis Sutter was born in Toronto in March 1968. He graduated from Grey Highlands Secondary School and went on to receive a B.Sc. Survey Specialist from the University of Toronto. The topic of the technical report submitted as part of the qualifying examination was “Employee Training and Development.” Articles were served under Jim MacLeod, ALS from December 9, 1996 until he received his commission on March 9, 2004. Mark served as a member of the ALSA Convention & Social Committee the Legislation Ad Hoc Committee and spent two terms on the Registration Committee. Surveying experience includes a summer position in Ontario during university years; two years in Whistler, BC with R.B. Brown Associates, ten years with Crape Geomatics in Calgary. In 2005, Mark moved to Stewart Weir & Co. Ltd. and became the Calgary office manager. Mark enjoys skiing, biking and hiking.
