Jim Stuart
Mr. Stuart began his survey career in
1976
at McEllhanney Land Surveys. He then went to work for Smith
Surveys where in
1980
he received his land surveyor commission. Shortly
thereafter, Mr. Stuart started his own company Stuart
Engineering & Surveying Ltd, which became SESL Geomatics
Ltd.
Mr. Stuart, as principal operable SESL Geomatics for
eighteen years, whereupon it was sold to an international
survey group called Fugro N.V. Mr. Stuart stayed on as
managing director of Fugro/SESL for the next five years.
In December
2004,
Mr. Stuart left Fugro/SESL and went to The Global Surveys
Group, where he is currently Vice-president of Oilfield
Operations.
In addition to his Alberta Land Survey commission, Mr.
Stuart has a Canada Land Surveyor commission and is a
Professional Engineer.
Mr. Stuart's hobbies
include hockey, golf, skiing, canoeing, and fly fishing.
