Owned and operated McWilliam Surveys Ltd. from January 1980 to June 1995

Joined Raymac Surveys Ltd. in 1995 and worked there until retiring in 2006

Retired from active membership in 2010

Professional service since being commissioned as an Alberta Land Surveyor includes:

- Serving on various, non-statutory committees prior to 1989

- 1989-1993 and 2003-present served on the Discipline Committee

- 1993-1994 served on Member Liability Committee of the ALSA

- 1993-1997 served on the Practice Review including chairman

- 2001-2002 served on the Statutory Boundary Tribunal Committee

- 2001-2004 Served as vice-president, president, and past- president

- 2002-2003 served on the Convention and Social Committee

- 2001-2004 served on Executive Committee, Council and Steering

- 2005-2007 – Chairman of the Boundary Panel

- 2007-present - ALSA Registrar
