John A. (Jack) Lamb

 
John A. (Jack) Lamb was born is Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated as a civil engineer.
 
During the Second World War, he served with the RCAF. After his discharge from the air force, he came to Calgary where he worked for the city engineering department, first as a town planner and then as assistant city engineer.
 
On June 7, 1952, he obtained his commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor.
 
In 1952, he left city employ and worked as an independent consulting engineer. In 1957, he formed the engineering/ surveying firm of Strong, Lamb and Nelson Ltd. of which he was president at the time of his death.
 
Jack Lamb died in April 1968 at the age of 52.
