• Graduated from Redwater High School in 1953

• Completed Surveying & Drafting, SAIT, 1955

• Articled to D.R. Sutherland (1955-1959)

• Obtained ALS commission October 19, 1959

• Served on ALSA committees namely, Public Relations, Planning, and Land Information Systems

• Obtained CLS Commission, April 2, 1970

• Member of: CISM, ACSM, Edmonton Home Builders, Urban Development Institute, Local Community League

• Director, Surveyors Information Center

• Director, NE Zone, Winter Sports

• Worked for Canadian Engineering Surveys (1955-1962),

• Kiriak & Rachansky (1963-1966) W.J. Francl & Associates Consulting Engineers (1967-1970)

• Owner of Kiriak & Associates Ltd., 1970-2000

• Sold survey practice in 2000 and retired from active practice in 2001
