Kevin Jones

commission in 1994.
R. Kevin Jones was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in
1960. A diploma in
Land Surveying was received from the Nova Scotia Land Survey Institute in
1984,and a B.Sc. in
Surveying Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in
1988.
John Matthyssen, ALS and Bernie McKenna, ALS served as
Kevin's principals from
1989 to 1994.
Commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor was received on March 31,
1994. "Construction
Survey Layout" was the topic of the technical report submitted as part of
the qualifying examination.
Kevin was involved in legal surveys in Nova Scotia,
worked for the Canadian Coast Guard and Transport Canada, spent six months
with Dynatec Mining Corporation in New Brunswick, over three years with
McElhanney Land Surveys (Alta) Ltd. in Calgary, and two years with Loeppky,
Matthyssen & Associates Ltd. where he completed his articles. Kevin
returned to the oil resource industry with Universal Surveys in Calgary
where he worked with Con Zarowny, ALS. Kevin established his own firm, Jones Geomatics Ltd.
in 1999.
Hobbies include woodworking, sailing and
golfing. |
