Paul
Hargrove
Mr. Paul Hargrove of
Canterbury Court, Edmonton, Alberta, passed away at the age of 73 years on
December 19,
1975.
He had obtained his
commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor on June 1,
1939.
Past-president Jack Hill wrote to Mr. Hargrove’s
son, Dr. W.H. Hargrove, shortly after his death:
Our Association has lost a very worthy member in the passing of your father.
I first met him in
1950
and had the privilege of working with him for a number of years. At the time
of his passing he would have been eligible for life membership in our
Association and with his devotion to duty, pioneering instinct, he was the
type of man that helped in no uncertain way to develop the western parts of
Canada by surveying land holdings and highway communications. On behalf of
the Association, please convey to your brother and sister our condolences.
We will make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
