William S. Drewry

 
A prominent land surveyor of British Columbia, William S. Drewry died at Victoria on Sunday, December 3rd, 1939. Born in Belleville, Ontario, Mr. Drewry came to British Columbia in the early 90s. He was chief water commissioner for British Columbia from 1909 to 1911, following which he was Inspector of Surveys until 1922.
 
He was a former president of the British Columbia Land Surveyor's Association and a member of the Dominion Land Surveyor's organizations. Surviving are his widow at Victoria and one son, J.H. Drewry, of the Elk River Timber Company at Comox.
